APRIL 2021 CHALLENGE #4 - ANYTHING GOES w/OPTIONAL TWIST: "IN THE GARDEN" (Create A Card For Spring)

Spring Greetings,
FRONT PORCH GANG!

Now that the weather is nice enough to actually sit on your front porch, we had the splendid idea of challenging our followers to create Spring-themed cards. This challenge is ideal for creating fun, scenic slimline cards.

MASTER ROCKERS GDT

We are delighted to welcome this month's
Master Rockers GDT, Mandy, and Carole J.  Thanks, ladies for your support and inspiration.

Mandy
My Name is Amanda or Mandy to my friends and Made by Mandy in the crafty community.  I am 49 years old and live in the UK. I have been crafty ever since I could use children’s safety scissors! I have dabbled in quilting, dressmaking, crochet, knitting, embroidery, cross-stitch, and since November 2002 pretty much exclusively card making after seeing a demo at a craft show. I have been blogging my cards since May of 2007. I love taking part in the challenges and the blogosphere is a constant source of inspiration.

My signature style is bright and colorful. I like to make unusual cards and adore using pretty papers. Digi stamps have been an amazing way of improving my cardmaking skills. I love the flexibility of resizing and combining images. I can also experiment with different styles of images that I wouldn’t have purchased as a rubber stamp.

Thank you to Chana and 613 Avenue Create for inviting me to be GDT this month.

I'm Carole and I live in the northwest of England with my husband and 17-year-old kitty, Casey.

I have always loved art and crafts and started by learning to crochet and basketweave with my grandma. My mum taught me to knit and embroider and to recycle everyday objects into pretty things. I have always enjoyed being a maker, but my papercraft journey started quite late on in my life, as I started to wind down from working full time. Initially, I started with the Pocket Letter craze, then I got into card making and then making and swapping ATCs. I was over the moon when I was invited to be on a challenge blog DT and I haven't looked back since. I'm currently on 5 DTs and run a challenge blog.

My style is quite eclectic; I love cute and quirky, but I also love vintage. I am exploring mixed media more and more and love to spend time getting inky, sticky, and painty. I hope you'll pop over to my blog to see what I've recently been creating.
